



KY 02: 2 Days Paddling on Nam Ha River through Nam Ha NPA
It is a full experience to paddle on the Nam Ha River to see the beautiful scenery through Nam Ha National Park. You will either stay overnight at the camp made of banana leaves or stay at a homestay village.
Day 1: Kayak to Nalan village the Khmu tribe (6-7 hours)
Meet at the office at 8:45 am to carry your safety suit and move to the morning market to buy some food and water. After visiting the local morning market, the driver will bring you to the Nam Ha village where the starting point. When arriving there, 1 tour guide will accompany a tourist and sit at the back to control the kayak. When all are ready; then paddle on the river together. during your trip, the guide will explain the information of each section along the river. You have a chance to see the birds are flying over your head or sometime in front of your kayak. We will paddle through deciduous and evergreen forests before arriving at the Nalan Village. When the team gets there, all will check in at homestays and take a bath; After that, cook and have dinner together with the host family.
Day 2: Paddling from Nalan to Houyluead village (6-7hours)
For your second day, it is a long route from Nalan Village to the stopping point. During this route, you will challenge yourself with many rapids, your friends will cheer you to pass the rapid section. We will take about 1 hour to reach Lanten village and then stop for a while to visit Lanten ethnic, you will have opportunities to learn about their culture and living conditions in the remote area. Thereafter, continuously kayak to Houyluead Village. When arriving there, Tuk Tuk is waiting at the Village to pick you up.
What to prepare on the trip:
- Good hydration is a basic safety measure; make sure that you consume at least 2-3 liters of water per day. For your first day, the tour operator will provide around 2 water bottles. Please, keep always the empty bottle so you can refill it the next day
- A good pair of shoes for walking and paddling
- A hat or cap
- Sunglasses
- Mosquito repellent/Insect repellent
- Sunscreen
- Toilet paper
- Raincoat (in the rainy season, June-Sep)
- Pocket money etc.
- Please wear appropriate suits during the trek
Optional:
- Pocket money
- Snacks, fruit, your bottle of water
- Your own medicine if you need it.
Important Do’s & Don’ts:
- Do not give individual gifts or money to children.
- Ask before taking photos of people or spiritual items.
- Help keep the trails clean by not littering.
- Purchasing handicrafts is highly appreciated but do not purchase antiques.
- Do not remove any archeological remains from the site of the ancient temples.
- Always stay with the guides
- Do not use drugs.
